Tropical poison frogs are defined as certain genus members of four frog families from four continents as shown on the map below.

From left to right, these include xxx. However, recently all the scientific names of the Dendrobatidae frog family have been revised. Current accepted scientific nomenclature for amphibians is updated at a reliable website hosted by the American Museum of Natural History.
